This post is for vintage trends. I am going to start with fashion. I know not everyone on the team sells fashion but it is an interesting trend that is going on.
The fashions of the fifties have always seemed to be in. Shirt dresses are a staple that seems to be in demand. I know when I sell off some of my vintage clothing selection the shirt dresses sell first. I have even been looking at a few websites that sell clothing and they have shirt dresses. I remember wearing them in the eighties. Mine were a lot shorter than the 1950s version.
What is a piece of clothing you own that could have been from the 1950s?
The red carpet in the past year has gone from stars dressing in very revealing outfits to a more 1940s elegance. I can not wait to see how they dress this year for the Oscars. I have also noticed a trend with the 1940s, hair salons that specialize in the hairstyles from the era. My sister is a hairstylist and she purchased a book on 1940s hairstyles. She lets the teen girls look through it and many have picked one of the elegant hairstyles to wear to homecoming or other parties.
